I don't know who will read this, but hello to any who are! My name is Jenni, and I'm starting this new blog as I start my new life here in the Golden State, California! I moved out here around 2 weeks ago on a trip fraught with excitement! Well not really, but it had it's moments.
I've moved in with my in-laws, due to some hardships back home in Virginia. I'm looking for a new job, and adjusting to a new life, and what better way to track myself than a blog!
Thus far I like it here, but there is sure a lot of spiders. I hate spiders. Actually I'm terrified of them. So this is a problem for me. But I guess I'll learn to share my home with them... or I'll just keep getting Hubby to get rid of them as he sees fit.
It IS odd living in a desert when I've lived on a river delta (swamp) my entire life.. but I'm learning. Living in a small town again is odd as well, I haven't really since I was young, and I'm just not used to it. Strangers asking how my day is going as we pass on the sidewalk? Bizarre. Strangers actually meaning it? Even more so. All of the antique shops are nice to explore, and all of the family-run little shops and cafes are cute, but awful for my job hunt.
Well it's about time for me to turn in, so I'll be off now.
